These are guidelines to follow for each category when speedrunning the game. 
===== Any% =====
Run on Official 1.1 or 1.2. \\
Use the custom //vampire.exe//, //engine.dll//, and //shaderapidx9.dll// from the [[setting_up_the_game#get_the_files|files]] page in order to make the game playable. \\
Clans are separate categories. Currently Nosferatu is the fastest. \\
Gender is set to female as the model moves faster. Male models would be slower on average. \\

Timing begins on pressing //Left-click to continue// on the first beginner explanation prompt ("Use the mouse to look around." etc.) 

Timing ends on the level transition, as the screen changes to the loading screen, after hitting the elevator up to Lacroix's office.
